Some days are like kicking and screaming (all internally of course) and the others are easy going and fun. To be honest these days are much of both. I’ve been taking my own advice and dressing up (aside from make-up) complete with a good hairstyle. It is my way of saying “buck up” and have joy in the journey.

I’ve been working on a lot of organization & of scheduling between learning more in depth make it my personal style. Stay tune for a partnership between Always Yours Occasions and myself on a possible teaching on bullet journaling class. Also combining online meetings of either Google calendar or Ical with bullet journaling. Exploring has been my main theme for this year and boy have I done so. There’s so much freedom in trying something new. I try to give at least month to 6 weeks and deciding how it’s working. If it’s working somewhere I try to improve. If it not working I allow myself to go back to the drawing board.

Also, the experience for my clients is very much worth my investing in so I’ve been exploring CRM’s. From “Hello” to “Until next time”- I want it to be as smooth as possible. I want them to feel appreciated, and be able to quickly pull all the behind the scenes work together. I’m not interested in wasting hours to put together a packaged that aught to be anywhere from 5-15mins. I’ve got a game plan of building, and I’m excited.

Part of having joy in the journey though is realizing, yah there’s the daily grind to do. However, at the end of the day have I tried to make each day a story worth telling? Which is why I’m trying hard to simplify in all aspect of my life. Bring in beauty, lay down hard core boundaries, and most of all once I’ve done my best simply enjoy it.

“Show up and let go”

For my birthday back in June, I received a gorgeous bracelet with this saying. Being organized is part of showing up- but once I show up – I let go and let things happen. In other words, I prepare and then I get to be spontaneous in how things unfold.

Having joy in the journey is a willingness to be both focused and spontaneous…all with surrender and a good attitude. Note please, no where did I mention perfection. I gave that up for lent. Some years ago I wrote on perfection and once in a while I remind myself by reading what I wrote. It good remind oneself why perfection is a robber of the great.

Writing has been good for me.

You see I’ve received dozens upon thousands dozens of advice. Advice for life, for business, and I believe the most popular one is politics. Don’t you worry, this a business- I have a hard fast rule about discussing politics…for now. Sometimes the best thing to do is shake off (or consider advice) is by writing. I continually take advice, make them fit my needs, and let the rest go. NOW…the type of advice I am talking of is advice that in the long run is not serious of nature. Got that out of the way? Good. I recognize the need for putting things in context; which is why I tend to explain what types of things I’m talking of. Context matters. Continuing on.

Every Friday I write, but twice a month I simply write about being real. For me it make me realize I’m talking to real people. My writing I hope portraits a real human being, one with feelings and big dreams. There is nothing to my writing other than I hope we can be friends. Where in a small corner of the internet where I make everyday a story worth telling. Which is why I make decisions the way I do; with first how does God want me to do things and then second how simplify life to live to fullest. Having joy in the journey is more than organization though I’ve talked plenty on that. It does have to do what the attitude is, how the time is spend, and where the values are placed. However, most of all it has to do with a person who is joy Himself- Jesus.
