Some of the best times to photograph is in the wee hours of the morning, when the world is hushed in seemingly silent reverence. Its work to get up early, work to remember the rewards of photographing in the morning dew Too often I miss the opportunity because truthfully…I like my comfort of bed more…and staying dry.
Branches’ Dewdrops is available in Gallery + Shop in Fine art prints & canvases.
Back when I used to have rain-boots. I’d walk around our then 13+ acres of land. Now we don’t have the woods, the luxury of wandering alone in a forest is gone, but I still have the fond memories. That’s what photos help do, they help us remember. They spark emotions within.
That’s the thing though….there are time sensitive days. Enjoy what you have have, be thankful. Because just like the morning dew, it’ll be gone in a flash of an eyes. There are new things of the horizon for me. I feel in my bones. New things for my family. What it is I do not know. But they’re going to alter our life.
Take what time is yours & use wisely.
If you’re struggling to love what is yours, can I offer you encouragement? Keep at it. Fight for it in the best way you know how. Surrender, Show up, and let go. It’s not easy to love what it yours all the time, but it is beyond worth it. Showing up when in the moment its not easy has its rewards often greater than we might ever see manifest.
The dewdrop is but a moment
I’m not saying live out of fear…please don’t. Fear has no place in a thankful heart. I’m definitely not saying live life in FOMO (Fear of missing Out)- ironically there’s a good chance you will if you do. I’m saying look around you, count your blessing, show up, get to work, and what is yours to do- do. Simply do.
