It’s hard to believe that in January my sister, Kate, and I will be en route to Russia and from there traveling for months around Europe and UK. In Russia, we will be staying a month in Moscow teaching English as well as sharing a little bit of our culture here in America. We are grateful to be learning about their culture and language as well. Afterwards, we will be meeting a friend where we will spend roughly two weeks helping working with the youth where she lives. We are thrilled to get to spend time with them.

For two weeks we will be either be in Finland or Sweden-to my great excitement. Kate and I are an 1/8 Scandinavian  and have always longed to set foot on the soil where our ancestors lived. What we will do there, time will tell. From there we will travel to Holland and stay for a month in April. I have heard April is an excellent time to see the tulips, I am excited about the possibility of seeing them.  The timeline isn’t exactly set, but we have general ideas.

I admit this is the first I have ever done anything like this. Yes, I have been on trips but it has always been arranged for me, and I have always gone in groups. This is dramatically different. Together, my sister and I are gathering information, raising funds, arranging meeting times, getting our visas,

working on businesses, and finishing up details at home.

It is amazing what happens when we announced our departure for almost a year long trip around the other side of the worlds. We find ourselves delightfully spending time with family and friends. Although crammed for time, we still set apart what time we can to make new friends and take time to fellowship with our dearest ones.

My dear readers, you will have a new visiting author coming in January for the period of our travels. I will introduce my sister, Kate, to you on January 1st, 2016. I love to read her writings and I hope you will be refreshed, as well. We would love for you to join us on our travels through the blog.

As you read our travel journal, would you consider supporting us? We want to able to bless our hosts and also have finances to travel. There will be times where only lodging is available, but we provide our food. Sometimes board is completely free, and then there will be times where we will have to foot the bill for lodging and food. All transportation we must pay for on our own, save for the possible rare times when we are with friends.  We will have a GofundMe  account where we receive donations. Go Fund Me does take out 8% to help fund their business. The Go Fund Me button will be on the side where you can easily access it.

If you want to send support by mail, contact us through email and we will send you a mail address.

Thank you so much for taking time to read and follow this blog. I will post photographs as often as I can and keep you updated on our travels. It is exciting to think that you will be traveling with us, in a way, and, please we would love to hear encouragements and thoughts.
